What Zetachain is
ZetaChain is an EVM-compatible layer 1 with chain abstraction built in: universal apps deployed on it read and write state on connected chains, Bitcoin included, with observer validators watching external chains and TSS-signed transactions carrying the outbound side.
Scope
The protocol contracts on ZetaChain and connected chains: the gateways, ZRC-20 assets and the cross-chain message plumbing.
